WinRAR is technically free in some twisted way. A seriously long time ago I downloaded the trial and to this day it functions perfectly with no apparent limitations. All though it does is tell me I'm using a trial everytime I start it.

Why not just increase the size of the pup_save when prompted at the first shutdown?

Try "xwin icewm" or "xwin starticewm", I'm not sure which.

You should also check your filesystem for errors.
Boot puppy into ram with pfix=ram, then run: Hope this helps!

I asume you are using a Frugal install(Since you booted from usb). In that case you shouldn't use that method as it is for persons who have a full HD installation. Without the dev files many features are disabled(even sound).

Solved by re-compiling plugin and compiling xarchiver from source.
