I think we should know what we are doing and why, when it comes to computers. The OP doesn't say why. Lobster says what, or more specifically how, but I'd like to add some thoughts to what Lobster wrote. I'll use Abiword as the example With a Full Install abiword is a symlink to AbiWord-2.4. If I d...

How to remove Abiword from Puppy 4?
I was wondering how to uninstall programs on Puppy 4. I was looking through the menu and saw programs such as Abiword that I probably won't use. How would I go about uninstalling it?

Sorry for the double post. After I restarted my computer serveral times since yesterday, Flash started working magically. I hate accepting this theory but I don't know what changed. I clicked on a youtube link forgetting that my flash didn't work but then the video started playing. My recommendation...

I have Opera 9.5 and nothing loads on youtube for me. The funny thing is that I went back to SeaMonkey to see if Flash would load on that and it wouldn't either. I went to the install packages and installed flash but I'm still getting nothing. This kinda sucks cause I like Opera but it's not running...

What are my choices for light browsers?
I'm not a big fan of Seamonkey and was wondering if Opera or Epiphany were available for Dingo. I went to the install manager and saw that Firefox is there but I'm looking for a different kind of browser to run. I like Opera but it didn't run so well on my XP machine and I haven't seen an Epiphany d...

I just installed Wakepup2 on a CD-ROM to boot Puppy Dingo onto my computers. It worked for all of them except for my laptop. I had to manually make the computer boot from the CD an then it said there was no SCSI.SYS file? The booting stopped right there also saying something about not else would be ...

Booting Puppy from Pen Drive
I have spent the majority of the day with Puppy 4 installed and I love this little OS. However, it has been giving me some trouble. Of my four computers, it only boots on one through the pen drive, even though I have the BIOS's set correctly. Currently, I'm trying to get it going on my main computer...
