Ok sorry about that.
Plus, I reinstalled the whole thing and it now works fine.
Sorry to have opened a topic before trying that.
And thank you for your answer anyway.[/code]

Grub Problem [Solved]
Hi all, I'm running a Pentium III with 64 MB of RAM. I've installed dsl after deleting puppy 4 that was on it as a full install. I didn't like dsl, so I wanted to reinstall puppy. I deleted the content of my HD, and reinstalled puppy. I did as PUI told me to. At the moment where it installs grub, I ...

Thanks for all your answers. The problem was indeed the FDD. The thing is I do have a FDD, but puppy has never manage to mount it (which I don't really care), it may be broken... I can't take it out without opening the whole laptop, its really 'in' it (and I don't manage to open it, once all screw a...

Repartionning an old pentium 3 on a full install [Solved]
Hi all, I'm trying to reinstall (full install) puppy 4 on my old notebook (P3, 64 RAM). But first I would like to repartition my HD, as the partitionning I did last time bothers me. It is a 20 GB HD partitionned this way: 2GB ext3, 500MB swap, and 17,5GB ext3. I would like to make it 19,5GB ext3 and...

Xorg fail to start [solved]
Hi all, I'm running puppy 4 on my old Notebook (1GHz, 64MB RAM). Last time shut down my pc I was in a hurry, so I didn't have time to wait for swriter to shut down (though I asked him to.. but it takes time on my old shit..) and asked puppy to shut down (wich he did very fast, not going through the ...

yeah rxvt works fine, it's xconsole that doesn't work.. but nevermind, actually I don't really know what it is, and have no use of it so, since my gedit problem wasn't one, and that xarchive can be avoided by using gzip, I don't really have a problem anymore... Thank you very much for your attention.

gEdit and xconsole don't work
Hi all, I've just reinstalled puppy 4 (because it got stuck (when booting) at the moment where it searches the ip adress) on my old Notebook (1 GHz, 64 ram). I did a full install as I was suggested because of my low ram capacity. But now some stuff that used to work well don't work no more... What I...

How to unzip .gz files?
Hi all, I'm sorry to open a topic for such a silly question but I would like to unzip a .gz file, and I don't manage to do it. I'm running puppy 4 on an old Notebook (Pentium III 1GHz, 64RAM) and I'm trying with XArchive, but it won't do it. Seems like it doesn't support this extension. If I rename ...
