Hi gposil
Thanks a million for those pets. I installed them and the application is running. BTW the application is Open System Architect 4.0.0 (ERD software).
Thank you to everybody else for your contributions too.
Bye for now

Where can I find libodbc?
Hi Folks
I am trying to run an application on Puppy Linux but it requires unixODBC. The error I get on the command line is that libodbc.so.1 cannot be found. Is this library perhaps available for Puppy?
Thanks for any help

Re: BOINC 6.4.5
I want to download the boinc pet but it is asking for a username and password. Am I doing something stupid or is there something wrong with the link?

Well now that you have successfully reverted to the original (2D) Xorg configuration, don't worry about OpenChrome at all. Just try the xrandr commands I explained above. xrandr should work just as well with 2D as it does with 3D. Hi tempestuous Using xrandr with the current X setup (ie without ope...

I broke my X
Hi folks Can someone please give me some advice. I received my HP 2133 mini notebook a couple of days ago and got Puppy 4.1.2 going on it. The only thing I couldn't do was to switch to an external display. Someone suggested I tried the openChrome drivers. I downloaded these from somewhere else on th...

Okay, I found my own answer. So for anyone else who run into the same problem, here is what I have done. Firstly to state the problem. After doing a frugal install to /puppy400 I discovered that all my applications and personalised settings were gone. Step one: I found all the files that Puppy creat...

I copied all the original Puppyfiles into pupp400. I have my icons back on my desktop and I have some of the stuff I installed. It looks like all the official release stuff. However my development environment and LaTeX is not back. It seems that although the two sfs files for these two items are in ...

about 150MB compressed and way larger installed :) Same program, minus help files, Locales etc, same functions. Also the cutdown version is a bit older, but doesn't make much of a difference. Nothing really noticeable. ttuuxxx I have also noticed that it is lightning fast to load (like everything e...

Frugal install
Hi folks I have just done a frugal install of Puppy. Until now I have used the CD with a pupsave to my hard drive. I sort of assumed that my current settings will be transferred to the frugal install, but it wasn't. Did I miss something during the install? Is there any way I can import or copy over ...
