The pups that do update have /usr/libs/seamonkey 2 I thought I used the same disc to setup all of them. ??

I don't have /usr/local/seamonkey. I have /usr/lib/seamonkey and /usr/lib/seamonkey 2.15.2

Thanks for the reply, I have several pups w save files. Some update automatically, two do not. Other os on those comps do update. I can't find what is different.

I have several versions of gparted, they have always worked well for me. I have 4.3.1 on low resource compaq desktops with win98.
Vista may be an issue, I have not run vista. I always boot from cd with a save file on the hd.

I like k3b and amarok, there have been several kde derivatives posted on the forum and I have them dled and burned. I keep a kde distro installed for that reason. I think pburn is recommended for multi-session cds and dvds.

I primarily use Seamonkey. It is still compatible with Netscape Communicator. I have firefox on most systems simply because it is in wide usage. But I don't like it as much. I rarely install other browsers, except to try them out. I happen to think choice is good.

This laptop also has a wifi indicator which is blue in win7 and red in linux. The synaptics touchpad also has a switch next to the pad, The switch only works in win7. The display became dim again, I booted win7 and adjusted it up again. I t appears to be ok in linux also.
