Concurrent download limit exceeded.

Any chance this will rectified soon?

It kind of ruins the distro when the support links to the puppylinux.ca server which seems to be rejecting downloads consistently for weeks.

Boxpup - wbar & dock to remain above windows?

I am enjoying getting back into Puppy after a break for a year or two :) Where is the config file and how do I tweak it to enable the wbar to remain on top of the windows? Or when I move the mouse over the wbar area, for the wbar to reappear over the windows? Similarly with the openbox dock ... ther...

Java Path not Save with Multisession DVD

I am using puppy with a multisession dvd setup. I have just installed java and needed to establish the following path for java. export PATH=$PATH:/usr/local/bin/jre1.6.0_10/bin My java application was running perfectly. I then rebooted with 'saving my puppy session to dvd', but on rebooting my path ...

Thanks for your advice guys.

This puppy multisession suggestion is working great!

Hard-drives should only be data storage. Why anyone would think the operating system should be run and constantly accessed from the hard-drive is beyond me!

No worries :) I thought the newer driver would be better but I guess it must have a bug in the newer version or something.

Like others, I cannot download NVIDIA-173.14.12-k2.6.25.16.pet Ummm ... did you read the post about 3 posts higher? One generous person uploaded to a new site for download. Worked for me luckily. And more good news ... its a newer driver than the one you listed above! Although I think 177.82 is sti...

Very nice Gray.

I found your link to vlc but I couldn't download it.

Creating a Derivative - How hard can it be?

How easy is it to create a derivative?

It appears one could just customise the desktop, add a few packages, then just hit the old 'Remaster Puppy Live-CD' button and then publish your new distro!?

The frugal doesn't run entirely in ram, the multi-session cd/dvd does. And it meets your criteria. Thank you sir! Sold. Just reading the puppy instructions and burning as I type this out! By the way, how would I add in additional modules if using a multisession dvd? Would I have to start from scrat...

Hi guys, just one more quick question .... :) I have just read up on the multisession dvd/cd option. the multisession dvd/cd is exactly what I am looking for! However can the same thing be accomplished with a frugal install? The mulitsession use is perfect as everything happens in RAM, but what happ...
