Adobe Needed?
Hi and thanks for coming back. The citizenship ca website looks for an updated Adobe program and if it does not find it , it wont let you in. Evince is probably fine but you would probably need to spoof it to look like Adobe. Another example. Skype worked well before it was taken over by Microsoft. ...

MY Pi 4.
Hi FeodorF, I was surprised to find that I could work in usb3 by just putting a copy of the pup on a USB stick or SD card and booting up. I also found out that disabled SD cards could be brought back to life by defragging them using GParted. Failed getting Stellarium to work, but if puppy manager is...

Hi, I've just found out the hard way that my Firefox download was put into temp. Why? How do you find it? Where do you put it? Also, can someone spell out how to run this puppy in a USB stick. (Apart from that Mrs Lincoln, how did you enjoy the play?) Regards, and thanks for all the hard work. Tony.

Hi, I have given up for now, the idea 0f running Rpi4 headless. I am now using my old Canadian TV as a monitor. In Noobs. Cured the black screen at boot by pressing the 2 key. Depending on your country, pressing 1 or 2 or 3 or 4 should give you a picture. Editing config.txt will bring the screen to ...

On first sight the Pine book Pro seems pretty attractive, but there are some Cons:- 30 DAY warranty is too low, especially as it is strictly enforced. Postage from Hong Kong is high. Probably because of Li-Po battery. If Customs Duty is applied the cost in Canada is pushing C$300.00. I Will wait thr...

Hi Mike and Oscar, thanks for your posts. I've just got skype back on tahr64 after using wire for a few months. I prefer wire but it's difficult to wean all your friends and relatives off skype. We should regard ourselves as unwanted tenants and will probably be fighting Linux v m$ again soon. Regar...

Wire How to
Hi Mike, just got Wire set up on my computer, it took about five minutes. A bit different from setting up Skype. The vidio looks better too. Slight problem was realising that the applmage permissions had to be changed for it to execute. Now all I have to do is get my family to use Wire also. Regards...

Hi Mike, in use the skype for linux beta version is severely crippled compared to 4.3. Movement on the screen causes loss of audio and lip-sync is non existent. To access settings you have to be in contact with someone. It might be due to my eeepc computer but it's always worked well for me up to no...

Hi Mike,
When I tried to use Skype I got very low audio output.
I installed apulse from :-
http://smokey01.com/OscarTalks/apulse-0.1.10-x86_64.pet
I got better audio out.
BUT --- Skype no longer finds my microphone.
Been here before I think.
Regards Tony.

Hi,
I installed the apulse pet and got better loudspeaker volume on Skype. But now my microphone is not detected.

Regards Tony
