I'm almost done. Had some RAM issues a few days ago, so I just got back to work on it today. I should have it uploaded before the end of the weekend. I apologize to all those who have been waiting.

I don't plan on removing any encryption programs or libs. I probably won't remove the instant update, as it's part of the system files themselves. I'm going to be removing only the non essential files. Instant update is one of the great things about 5.28. Most of the programs removed will be from th...

I leave all required programs for puppy to run. I don't believe I removed gtkhash in 5.01. It's just tracking down the files for each app and removing them all that's a little time consuming.

I have begun work on a bare 528, but it is slow coming. the way that i build it takes a while. i should have it done in about a week.
I thought i had it done a few days ago, but apparently i stripped so much out that it broke and i wasn't able to repair it. So i had to start over.

Tons of fonts - SFS

Here is an sfs that I have just packaged together. There are 834 different fonts together in this sfs. Made for Lucid 528, but should work in any squash4 Puppy (431+). I am currently updating my website and a link will be available there shortly.

Congratulations tubeguy. The first three years were very hard for me. It's a little easier now, 4 years, 1 month, and 26 days later, and gets a little better everyday. Finding a way to deal with the stresses of life. Puppy helped me also. Puppy Rehab!

Ok, I've had some connectivity and work issues that haven't allowed me any free time lately. I did try the deps sfs to fix the Opera problem. They were already added in from a previous fix and did not work. The transmission fix works. As far as packages not showing up in PPM, I don't have a clue. I ...

Nooby, I'm sure that those modules can be added into pupngo, but I would try and find one from the 4 series. U should be able to copy them over and then either modprobe or reboot and see if they are automatically added in.

Yeah, that is something built into puppy. It only shows up in live-boot with no save file. I believe it is an html file and there is no html viewer in barebones, so it probably wont show up. i believe the file itself is located somewhere in root.

Ok, so i just saw all your replies Sit Heel Speak. I will be dl'ing and trying that asap. I believe that you have found a fix for this and I want to say thank you in advance. As far as python, i haven't added any. Transmission usually works without anything. I opened it up in console and it didn't s...

Man, there is a huge difference between this and pupngo. Pupngo is way smaller than barebones 5, uses an older kernel, and doesn't support squash4. This barebones is designed to roughly follow the guidelines of the barebones 4 series. A functional Puppy with almost no programs. Also I have discovere...

So, a development. I took all the installed browsers out (making sure the libs stayed) and installed Opera 10.70 from portablelinuxapps.org. The problem persisted in the portable version as well. I have decided to abandon adding Opera to this project, however I will continue to use it elsewhere. I w...

Downloading now. Extremely impressed by the fact you used a slax module in 431 to include a great window manager and programs while keeping it fairly small. Kudos my friend.

Yeah, that was one of the first pages i visited. the search link in your sig is my browser home page, i use it more than google.com. I have all of those libs linked in opera, mozilla, ff, and sm folders. Nothing. I've checked and unchecked and rechecked enable plugins box, set 5 different paths to s...

My special way of telling Puppy it's great.

I haven't been online for about a year, but I never abandoned Puppy Linux and it was the first thing I got when I got back online. Thank you for being as fast, easy, and awesome as you are. Below is a mirror image of my new Puppy Linux tattoo. It is not colored yet, but I will post new pics as soon ...

Sorry, no good. It works great and ur right, it is a lot faster than the repo version, even than 10, so I'm keeping it. Now I just need to solve this pesky plugin problem. Great job on the pet and I'm sure my error has nothing to do with it. I have it working on at least 2 other pups of the same ver...
