I would like to check out this linux kiss that you're using, but can't seem to find any info on it. Could you direct me to a url with more info or a down load location?

Lupu has a sfs loader. Just right click on the sfs and choose "sfs loader" or linker, can't remember which it has right now. Either way it will load the sfs, and then after you're done compiling you just right click on the sfs again and choose to unload it and all is back to normal.

Great idea puppyluvr! I'm not the most talented puppy user around, but I went ahead and joined, and I'll contribute what I can. Besides, we're practically neighbors, so I couldn't resist being the first to jump in with you on this.

I've only used the wiki a few times, and found it somewhat helpful, but not much. I do agree that better documentation would be a big help. I'm just not sure of the best way to go about it. Everything changes so fast that it's nearly impossible to keep up.

You might also try 214X it's based on an older kernel, but updated a lot, and works really well on older hardware.

A quote that my father used to tell me, and I have since made famous (or infamous  ) with my kids. "Everything in life is a trade-off". Think about it. As a side note, have you ever noticed how idiots will tell you how wise they are, but truly wise people will tell what idiots...

You might want to check out TXZ-PUP also. It's not as slim & trim as you would like, but it allows you to remove anything you don't want very easily. So, you should be able to trim it down as much or as little as you would like.
