Hmmm ..... Just browsing thru ..... 1. Windows does have a bucket load of drivers, but, they're generic ones. They're built to work with minimum acceptable level to support a broad range of hardware models. You still need specific drivers to gain maximum performance (which is the case with current N...

Hmmm ..... An interesting question is; Will gtkdialog allow use of more widgets (like slider, knobs, dynamic image rendering...)? Widgets creation/usage is limited to only what is defined/supported internally to gtkdialog. If a widget is not defined, no amount of coaxing will either ... Another ques...

Hmmm ..... Geoffrey, Thanks for the test results. I can see where it borks now. Ok, the issue that we have here can be divided into two: 1. Your subnet netmask is too large for NBT broadcast. Since you're using a netmask of 255.0.0.0 (class A), the scan will fail no matter what timeout value you use...

Hmmm ..... This is a pure mplayer svn snapshot. It does not have multi-threaded support, for that we'd have to pull in ffmpeg-mt and do a transplant into mplayer ... but then, all of mine are single core (no HT), so kinda pointless in my case ... The runtime cpudetection supposedly enable mmx, sse, ...

Hmmm ..... Well, I can't advise based on just the list you posted. If you insists and you know what you're doing then look in /root/.packages for the installed pet packages. You'll see .files extensions listed and those would be the list of files installed by the respective packages. I wouldn't know...

Hmmm ..... I've had trouble with CUPS across dozens of versions of Puppy and at least 5 different printers. Yeah, I have noted since the mid of last year and I have no idea why they're acting up on you ... A search of the Puppy-only forum posts shows that problems with CUPS is not unusual, and if on...
