rpm default application & set monkey to run automaticall
I need to know which program to set as the default for a rpm file. I know that they will (SuSE 9.2) just run like an .exe in Windows, but I can't seem to get Pup to do it. Also, I am trying to set up puppy as a headless server, so I need to have the TkVNC and Monkey run at startup. I also need to co...

Sixty-Four, I think
I think that it is 64 total. Good to hear that at least one of these is still out there and kicking. I have loaded puppy flawlessly on a couple of old laptops, but they were IBM or Toshiba so the hardware was much more common. Have you been able to get it to boot from the CD? I have changed the BIOS...

I am running puppy 1.02 on an old Toshiba laptop that has a 2gb hard drive and 32k ram. It works, but i did a hard drive install. It did work very well as a live CD also. So, potentially the minimum RAM is 32K?

The pup hangs when loading ram disk
I am trying to load 1.03 onto an old laptop. I have the boot floppy, cd, and have copied the necessary files onto a fat partition. Nothing is loading, the process is freezing at RAMDISK: Lading 11264 blocks [1 disk] into ram disk ... | I am pretty sure that the line should be spinning, but it is not...

Easy module "get"
I know that to save space you are leaving out many modules for hardware support, but all (ALL) my PCMCIA cards for LAN (both wired and wireless) are not supported. I think maybe you could try the following: Include all known modules for ethernet hardware at the expense of other modules (say high end...

Installing on HD, refusing to boot from CD and FLoppy
First, thanks for this incredible tool. Puppy is the best linux distro I have found for "rescue" builds on old laptops (my girl is going to kill me if she trips over another 15 lb laptop in the middle of the night...). I am unable to get puppy to boot from the cd, which is par for the cour...
