I would have thought any user that increases his/her save file would automatically reboot into the same release, or am i the only one that thinks that procedure is the correct one?.

Iceape seems to be missing a library.
Check your errs.log in /tmp to see if it shows as missing after opening Iceape,if so install from link below.

Did a manual frugal install edited menu.lst and rebooted. The distro booted very fast without a problem, initial screens worked ok but i noticed that the text was displayed in a higher resolution than i chose?, when desktop appeared it was the resolution i chose. As posted by another forum member, frugal install of zpup005 on a hard drive with a full install of another puppy corrupts the full install.
Folders are created out side of frugal folder? very strange and so far i still have not recovered xorg on the full install. :(

If you still want to try your wifi, look at /etc/init.d/ open rc.pcmcia as text and remove the two hashes at the front of these lines #echo "Starting PCMCIA services:" #pcmcia-socket-startup save and reboot and with a bit of luck you should be able to connect, i am assuming you have a save...

Some time back i posted that i was working on an aptitude package for dpup, well i have to report that i have run up against a brick wall. The package locates and downloads sources and also compiles them, but it will not install them properly. :cry: So i will not release it to the forum as it broke ...

As my interest in dpup is now aroused again, i have been playing with Aptitude on my dpup with promising results. If there is any interest in me pursuing this further i will look further into it in fortnights time when i get back from my hols. Attached is a splash screen of it working on my computer...

@ttuuxxx, i have not downloaded the distro yet but i am intrigued as to what doc files use that amount of space?. Maybe the programs they refer to need looking at. My doc folder in my original dpup is only 232k.

Try 5.1 again and check what i posted above, you may find it works.
You will need a save file with the changes to rc.pcmcia script on the hard drive for it to work.

Open /etc/init.d/rc.pcmcia as text and check that lines about 15&16 echo "Starting PCMCIA services:" pcmcia-socket-startup echo #dummy line. do not have hashes in front of them. If they do remove the hashes, save and reboot. You do need a save file or full install to see if this works ...
