Iceape seems to be missing a library.
Check your errs.log in /tmp to see if it shows as missing after opening Iceape,if so install from link below.

Did a manual frugal install edited menu.lst and rebooted. The distro booted very fast without a problem, initial screens worked ok but i noticed that the text was displayed in a higher resolution than i chose?, when desktop appeared it was the resolution i chose. Some time back i posted that i was working on an aptitude package for dpup, well i have to report that i have run up against a brick wall. The package locates and downloads sources and also compiles them, but it will not install them properly. :cry: So i will not release it to the forum as it broke ...

As my interest in dpup is now aroused again, i have been playing with Aptitude on my dpup with promising results. If there is any interest in me pursuing this further i will look further into it in fortnights time when i get back from my hols. Attached is a splash screen of it working on my computer...
