Google's bookmarks will merge many bookmark files. I've used it and it does work. You can access the merged file from anywhere, that's quite useful. However, I have not worked out how to get the merged file in Google back into my system.

I also use a 1Gb CF card, running Puppy 4.1.1 with a Frugal install.
No swap (bad idea for flash). It has a 512Mb save file.
There is 292Mb free.
I think that indicates that with a 256Mb save file a 512Mb card would be OK - just !
Hard to buy anything smaller than 1Gb now.
