@Runtt- In response to your post a few pages back I'm curious, what do you foresee for macpup in the future? The most complete e17 puppy distro, or the most compatible e17 puppy disto?

@Runtt I stumbled across this if you ever are interested in the composite issue. Its only a forum discussion but gives some info about how the composite module works (apparently on top of evas). Im sure once the final (can it be, is this actually happening finally?) version comes out they will have ...

Runtt: well as i said its not just composite thats causing e to crash thats just the one i know will set it off without fail. other things like adjusting the ibar icons crash it also. I guess ill just stick with opera2, thanks though.

Xorg full with dri. Always. Ive never had composite problems to speak of and to be honest i dont think this is a video issue rather it seemed to be an e issue the way it happened. but aside from that when the composite was working it looked nice. and with little drag on video at all. UPDATE: after i...

So i guess the itask issue is solved then, it's just the way it is. Still strange though. Thanks and I'll report back on the second download and install I'll do. Btw what do you mean the final snapshot of e? Are they finally going to be finished with it after ten years? Just one other thing. Is the ...

I'll have to check it out again then. Please don't confuse my constructive criticism for complaining. I appreciate all the wor...

Perhaps It was a bad download because this is the most buggy e17 in a while. And btw the compositing I was talking about was the e module called compositr not anything like compiz of xcompmgr. That and many other modules cause a seg crash of e. I've tried installs on 2 machines and same thing I'll t...

A few issues

I'm loving the new macpup but I've come across a few issues. Namely when trying to apply the composite module e crashes so bad I have to delete the /root/.e/e/config folder to get it working again. And also itaskNG has strange artifacts underneath the icons where the shadows should be. Anyone know t...

Looks nice runtt. How did you get the clock to work? I had trouble with it and asked Agust about it but it was hard to understand his answer. I fiddled with it but couldnt figure out the issue. Good job! I was wondering is there anyway to compile the edgar gadget loader module. Ive tried myself but ...

Extract them to usr/local/pstreamvid/channels. Then they will appear in the pstreamvid menu.

Well there's this, just extract it to which ever folder has the themes, maybe /root/.icewm/themes ?

For transparency you need a composite manager. Ice WM doesnt control that.

@`f00 Thanks, actually I had all the modules on inset, normally its on plain so there is no box around it. Thats why I love Enlightenment, its so configurable. Not only that it looks nice and is fast. Obviously not as fast as jwm or IceWm but its much better than any DE. To be honest Ive completely ...

How do I make a sound play when a key is pressed?

I know it may sound silly, but I was wondering what it would be like to have my computer sound like a typewriter. I was wondering if there was a way to make a simple bash script to tell the computer every time a key is pressed to play a wav file. I tried the key binding way, but that overrides the k...

Hmm yea there could be more issues, ah well it'll get sorted. You know Runtt21 I never knew a MacPup forum was set up until yesterday. I'll have to get on that. Oh and Ive been messing around again. I have one more contribution. Its a heavy wallpaper (expect 100% CPU) but I made it merely as a test....

Ive always wondered why enlightenment newer versions of things break and or arent compatible with older versions. Do they rewrite everything each time? Dont you think that when they get something made and stable they should just leave it? I dont know Im not very well versed in programing and all but...
