I would be careful about using the arcade version. Management at work has a strong reaction to anything that sounds like fun. . However if you rename arcade it should be just fine.

Maybe I am being too picky - the display issues only occur with a blank document and go away once you scroll down and back up. Somehow I doubt if you are being too picky. The way to find out is to leave it like that for the next release and see who objects. It's not a final release, so it won't mat...

It's still doing everything but cutting the power. This may not be an overall solution but JamesC mentioned this earlier. The pet fixing the failed shutdown, well not so well. Back in 2007 or 8 I had that problem on an AOpen 915 with pupy400 and then when they made puppy431 and the problem was solved. so it seems very hardware specific. It solved my problem but ended up on your HW instead. Your computer is contagious....
