@tlchost,

If you can access your forum locally, would it be possible for you to post the links here to the various downloads... most notably the ones posted by rokytnji.

I didn't expect your forum to go down so quickly, or I would have kept track of those links myself.

Thanks, Doug

Sorry to see you decided to take the forum down.
There was some good info and links posted there.

If so, I'd be happy to host it.

That's a nice gesture, but it's kind of pointless with no active development going forward.

When I download Opera11 as .DEB(other), it installs successfully every time. Unlike other Puppies, it does not leave phantom file entries in the Menu. However, after installation, it advises that it appears in "Utilities" - it doesn't; it correctly appears in "Internet". It also...

Trio's utility is great, however, it needs update. I used it to try to install an sfs on a full install of luci-235. Started the operation and left for a few hours. When I returned, not only had the sfs not installed, but it wiped two partitions clean. That bad experience hasn't stopped me from usi...

I have no problem getting Beryl to work on an SD card, but I still can't load the sfs on a full Puppeee install (or any other sfs for that matter). /root is the correct location for the sfs files isn't it? Side Note: I had the same problem with the midnight commander sfs, but it worked when I instal...

I decided to try Beryl, just to see how it works. I don't care for docks, but just to test. When I load the boot manager, I get the following error: NOTICE: The following SFS files located in directory /mnt/home are the wrong version for the current Linux kernel: Beryl-0.2.1.sfs The above files will...

If I click on any one them, they open up like a text file.
Right-click / Save As... doesn't work either.
This is in Windows with Firefox.

EDIT:
It looks like it did work ok using "Save As..."
The Firefox download manager apparantly just doesn't recognise the pet file sizes.

Quick note regarding your pet files directory on puppeee.com, it seems as if they all need permissions set, because I don't seem to be able to download any of them.

Also would a pet be out of the question?

Thanks

The newer version of PCManFM in beta 4.4 is great for copying/deleting/renaming files. I can't however get it to open a text file for editing by double-clicking on it. I haven't tried any other file types. And if I right-click on a file and select "Open with..." PCManFM just crashes and cl...
