How to connect to proxy server via serial or parallel port?

Can puppy conect to a internet proxy server using the serial or parallel port
I know it can be done under Debian but I would like to use Puppy ( its faster on older machines)

by installing dsl on a separate partition and chrooting into it I was able to have my cake and eat it too (use NXclient in dsl from puppy) . all dsl icons apeared on my puppy screen by fluke when I refreshed the dsl desktop while chrooted into it , it freaks me out to see both sets of icons on the s...

I tried to install it from theyr tar but I cant get the app to launch , I know it has been asked before but may be if more of us keep asking someone with the know how will take pitty on us and write a how-to (tha's my christmas wish anyways).

update

well my fellow puppians ssh into damnsmall on the ame pc worked even with X apps. and this opens a whole new set of possibilities.
I can install 2 different distros in the same computer and have students explore all the posibilities that linux offers and make them feel at home while doing so.

un-chroot

that was my reason for chrooting , so I could run damnsmall-aplications while running puppy (without rebooting) I can un-chroot if I'm not running X. I gess I could start the ssh server from the comand line while chrooted and then ssh from puppy into dsl using the loop back adress and run individual...

I installed damnsmall in a separate partition and chrooted into it . how do I change the wallpaper in fvwm95? I looked in fvwm95rc and changed a few lines that I thought dealt with the wallpaper image but no luck.
