CPU ondemand has nothing to do with it. It just keeps your CPU cooler and slower. CPU on demand will scale down your CPU frequnecy when it is not needed, allowing it to drop the voltage and does save power. Yea, I use Mint for my main OS and play with various puppies here and there. I think that talking to grey about some .pets is a good idea. Then getting those up on Ibiblio would be great also.
