I will check the links later on. Thanks for them Lobster... I have been to puppy.biz and emailed raffy a few times about this. Now the idea that Pizza has sounds pretty reasonable. If you could just download a group of SFS's and have them compile into an ISO that would solve a lot of it from the tec...

Custom Pups built online while-u-wait

Mr. Guestoo, Thanks again. Progams like Firefox, are among my favorite. If I can run an app without having to climb all over hell and back I get really happy. Navicat will run no problem on puppy. It seems that several commercial programs will as well. I will have to experiment with flock and firefo...

Guestoo, Thank you kindly for the answer. I will examine this next weekend. (This weekend will be very busy for me with our projects). Also this thing regarding placing everything in one folder, is this typical of most Linux apps? For instance the XAMPP for linux places things in the /opt/lampp fold...

Ok actually its vmware Player that I saw. Here are the instructions for that. They may not be that much different for the workstation and server. If we all get his working we definitely need to put up a page on it. This would solve a lot of system crash problems. Here is the link: http://www.murga.o...

Just concurring here. Right now, puppy boots so fast that I have to really really get in there quick and try to type puppy pfix=ram. However, even in the midst of typing it will boot before I've had the chance to finish... So some kind of list would be nice, that views your pups. If they have a comm...

Yet more reasons.. My desktop currently is set up with Kubuntu. I am going to be formatting the drive back to empty by this weekend. Maybe tonight if I get a little nap. Anyhow...why am I doing this? Because puppy always loads my websites. Be it in Dillo, Mozilla (not a huge fan), or Firefox...it ru...

I have to do this because I work in an office that will require me at times to use MS. Windows. Eventually I hope to get them to puppy for the workstations and servers. We arent a huge office so puppy will be excellent for what we need. In the meantime, and even after, there will be times that we ha...

Ok here is what I did. I was unable to find anyone in the Puppy community who was willing to attempt this project. So I contacted the creator of the original DSL setup for VMware. We batted about using DSL and he set me up with DSL. It did not recognize my hardware. So we agreed on a service fee for...

I try to avoid commercial software if I can. Not because I am opposed to paying for software (currently I am paying someone a grand to put together a puppyVMware server CD for me). But because I am tired of commercial software people being jerks. Not updating or fixing their software, not helping wi...
