Cretsiah, this isnt the Real Player it is Helix. It *is* including the proprietary real codecs though. I packaged those together because I was under the impression we all thought it was ok. For instance, around here you got Java.pets and Sun basically said the same thing about their product, "g...

I always find it hilarious when FLAC is mentioned in this forum. It makes me think the reason Puppy is so small in size is so people had sufficient drivespace for their FLAC collection!! Thats my one joke for today, dont forget to tip your waitress. Real / Helix / Amarok support vorbis, ogg, b...

Dejan you are awesome! Do you have any idea why I encountered my errors when I tried? I can make a pet but it doesnt expand to it's proper directory? Is it because Im not compiling, as I have not loaded devxxx.sfs, am I trying to take a shortcut that I shouldnt? For instance, with Helix I took a man...

Here is the self proclaimed "programmers text editor" the Java based RText. It is a nifty text editor. Of course you need java installed to use this one. It is in sfs format and this time I put a script in the path to make it easier for people to use. Tell me what you think! http://in.soli...

If you could make a pet I would greatly appreciate that! Im glad to hear this one didnt freeze up your pup like the Real Player did! I know it handles AAC, MP3, WMA, OGG, but I dont know about video. It comes from the DNA Client which is *supposed* to handle every file known to man...It would just b...

Dejean, RealPlayer is the bloated+proprietary version of Helix 8). The DNA Client and Helix open source player gave birth to Real Player. Then Real Player got crossed with the ideas from Winamp and Banshee was born. Then Banshee got library support like iTunes and thus came Amarok. This player defin...

Ive been using this audio player for a while and I find it to be very stable. In theory this player does video, but Im not sure if it handles even your garden variety video files.I am trying to find more codecs. I use it for audio and can assure you it handles audio very well. Much love goes out to ...
