When I try to run it, it says:

Code: Select all

./fmsx3: /lib/libc.so.6: version `GLIBC_2.7' not found (required by ./fmsx3)
So, uh, please compile GLIBC_2.7? :P

And sorry about requesting in the wrong place.

yeah but I didnt want to go through the trouble of making a pet and it's more convenient plug and play you know? Installing it as a pet is much more convenient than using wine, imo. Observe: Wine: wine /path/to/nethack.exe Native: nethack Telnet: telnet nethack.alt.org Then again, if you were to bo...

PET for an MSX emulator

I'd like to play some MSX games (Like the original Metal Gear :)) on Puppy 4.3.1. So, is there a PET for something like fMSX? And if there isn't one, could someone make it? Preferably one that doesn't need OpenGL .

Problem with N64 games in Puppy arcade

I recently got Puppy Arcade 7, and LOVE it. But configuring everything is a pain. For example: In mupen64plus, whenever I start up any rom, it says "The core thread crashed with a SIGSEGV fault. This means it tried to access protected memory. Maybe you have the wrong ucode set for one of the pl...

Okay, so it looks like x11 is the working one, but I'm not sure how to make it use that every time. I have to manually type "mplayer -vo x11 Video" every time, which I am sure will get very annoying. How do I make/edit the config file? EDIT :I can't find the menu option for doing it in Gxi...

Mplayer and Gxine flash black screens [SOLVED]

Right, so I recently switched from a CRT to an LCD monitor(about time! ) but whenever I fire up mplayer or gxine, the screen flashes black; for a second with mplayer when the new window pops up, but 2-3 seconds in gxine. This is extremely annoying and makes it hard to watch short videos, so an...

Burning bin/cue files[SOLVED]

I am trying to burn a backup of metal gear solid disc 1 for the Playstation because I lost disc 1 (I still have disc 2) It came as a .bin file without a .cue file, so I made one: FILE "Metal Gear Solid (G) (Disc 1) [SLES-01507].BIN" BINARY TRACK 1 MODE2/2352 INDEX 1 00:00:00 . I, however, ...

Pburn won't finish checking media[SOLVED]

Okay, so I ran out of space on my hard drive to extract a rar, so I'm trying to burn the RAR and extract it from there. But Pburn just kind of stops at the "Checking media building Command" dialog. I don't know if its frozen or something because I haven't let it go on for more than 10 minu...

Wait, wait, wait! Sorry for the double post, but the sound works again! I tried the ALSA sound wizard after I rebooted, and the sample played! I am not sure what happened though, as I had rebooted and used ALSA twice before, to no avail. :? Anyone know what happened?

Okay, I booted into ram, and the sound sample worked. I'd say that makes this a software problem. I also tried the "setup|alsa sound wizard" thing, but the terminal says it can't find setup or ALSA. So, any fixes?

Puppy went mute.

Right, so my little brother was playing I Wanna Be the Guy on wine, and now my Version 4.3.1 Puppy won't play sounds at all. It's not just wine, nothing will make any sounds. My little brother says it just stopped playing sounds in the middle of his game. Neither the ALSA wizard or the multiple soun...

We need more details before we can help you(for example, what's the name of the browser, what version of puppy you are running, etc) Also, why did you do a full install?
btw, I think this is in the wrong sub/forum.
