The shutdown script is in /tmp/rc.reboot, which is a copy of /etc/rc.d/rc.reboot-cd. There's a long line in there somewhere that feeds the list of files to cdrecord. Here it is: mkisofs -J -R -C $SECT -M $DEV -pad -new-dir-mode 0755 -P "Puppy Linux" -p "Barry Kauler" -graft-poin...

Did you right click on it and select download, or left click, see a bunch of (apparently) random characters and then download? I have heard that has caused problems for some people. You need to right click on the link and select

1.0.3 error writing multisession to CD- aborts

When I shut down my 1.0.3 multisession disc, it tries to write to the CD but fails, giving an error something like this: Premature EOF on stdin Input buffer read error, aborting. It then just continues shutting down. The odd thing is that its certainly been able to write back to it at least twice be...

Ok. Adding that parameter seems to work- it boots.

However, it says it can't find a partition and thus can't save data. I, indeed, don't have a partition set up for linux but shouldn't it be able to save directly to the USB like it can a CD? Or is this not possible yet?

Same kind of problem here. Here's the files on my USB after attempting to boot:

There shouldn't be a pup001 file on the HD, there isn't the proper partition for it to write to the HD.

USB mouse and 1.0.3- no worky.

My USB wireless mouse works great on 1.0.2, but not 1.0.1 or 1.0.3. The mouse refuses to go anything but up or down and clicking bumps it a bit to the right. Is there something I can do to fix this, or will I have to use a normal ps/2 mouse? I'd go back to 1.0.2, but I really like 1.0.3's ability to...

Booting puppy from USB drive- restarts halfway through?

I've got a SanDisk MP3 player, and I'm trying to install Puppy on it (for the sheer novelty of having an OS on my MP3). I burned Puppy to a CD, then booted into it and ran the program to put Puppy onto a USB drive- this seemed to work fine. I then put a blank pupxusb file onto the player. I put boot...
