I used the Prename, batch file renamer to rename a bunch of files. After booting with the devx.sfs Prename stopped working. This is because the devx contains a perl script named prename in /usr/bin, overriding prename in /usr/local/bin. I solved the problem by entering the full path in the .desktop ...

I don't really know what causes the glitch you're having. It's most likely software related.

I think it's my old crappy mouse. Sometimes the pointer jumps around like crazy all over the screen. The electrons get lost on their way to the cpu.

My rt73usb refused to connect with quirky 018. Someone on the Arch forums had a solution that worked.

iwconfig wlan0 power off

After that it connects fine.

Also: ~/ means the path to your home directory:

is the same as

/home/nooby/files

/root is the root users home directory.

The root of the filesystem is the top directory where the /bin, /opt, /etc directories are.

Save it to disk first. You might want to use it some other time. Then unzip it. You can run it from wherever you save it.
