did a right click on desktop - jwm configuration manager - 'restart jwm now?' - yes.

but desktop looks the same..

if I do a right click on the desktop I get a pop up menu :

so haven't been able to reboot.

going to try
sudo reboot
..and see if that works..

by menu - you mean click on what is usually in the lower left corner of the screen??

I think you now see my problem - there's nothing there.

I seem to have misplaced the option to shut wary puppy down ie theres nothing in the lower left corner..and I cant find an option to shut down or log off anywhere. Thought Id change the screen res in case it was off screen.. but while all the desk top icons are there theres nothing giving the option...

lately been running wary and LXpup on my eMachine netbook. ..had the usual prob with hooking up to my wireless dialup apple airport system but found that using the network setup in LX worked first pop...where as doing the same thing in wary failed to work ?? not sure why..but discovered in LX that F...

Just tried pup 2.17 on my acer laptop Aspire 1350. I use a Psion PCMCIA modem card...which worked well in 2.16. How ever on bootup My mouse failed to work. I tried plugging the phone cable into the inbuilt modem port to see if 2.17 could find it but no modems were found. (Ok...no big deal my card mo...

Has any one found a solution for when a USB drive becomes read only for some reason.
It can't be reformated it seems.

It appears that knoppix has a built-in option that can make it writable...but I don't fancy the massive download.

Has any one had probs with Gaim crashing. It seems to be fine when I'm using it to chat most of the time. Then it seems to crash frequently when I'm chating to a particular person. They are using XP but so are many of the other folks I chat to. I've tried it while not running any other web software ...

(Pgs is dated 2nd April.) I'm not sure how that is done..or is it just a matter of time before they do?
