I tried the Ecopup current release on my Dell Inspiron laptop (64mb Ram, 4 gig) last night and man was I impressed. It was super fast and had all the apps I am looking for. The screen looks great and icon placement is quite appealing. The only one problem that I have is that my wireless card seems t...

I was a slight bit slow in finding the folder. I had unhidden the hidden folders at the main screen and didn't see it. I assumed that the main page was one page beyond the parent directory, so I just hit the green up arrow once more and ended up at the actual Parent Directory. Miraculously, I found ...

No, no dual-boot for me. Puppy runs my life. I got it all sorted out now. hda1 is 310mb's of Linux swap and I loaded GRUB to MBR I have 0 seconds delay and I see the option screen as just a blip while it zips right to boot. I do have no sound, but I will try to sort that out over the next few days. ...

Tweaking GRUB on old system.
There was some instructions for Tweaking GRUB to install right at start up after a 10 second pause as opposed to waiting for the GRUB BOOT Screen. I have installed 1.0.8 because my system likes the older Kernel and now everytime I boot, I get the "Do you want to - Linux on hda2 - Install Grub t...

Same CD's, same burn rate. I get hung up on the checking for puppy files on disk drives message that others have gotten when they don't have enough RAM to boot. I assumed that I just needed an older version that was a little more compact. I have heard that all I need to do is hit F2 at the start up ...

I have been struggling with getting a Live CD to actually boot on my archaic system but I just got Puppy 1.0.8 to boot on my Dell Inspiron 3500 64mb ram, 4GB Harddrive, Pentium II processor. It looks awesome and it's almost too hard to type through the tears of joy. I do have a question though, is t...

Puppy 3.01 Live CD troubles
Ok, so I used Opera browser to download Puppy 3.01 as I have an older machine with 64m of ram. I used BurnCDCC to burn the Live CD, I set my boot order to start with the CD rom drive. I get as far as Loading kernel drives needed to access disk drives... done Searching for Puppy files in computer dis...
