32bit firefox crash v63.0.3 to v64 update <<SOLVED>>

A while ago (July 2018) I had a problem updating from v60.0.1 to v61 due to missing libxul libraries...

I wonder if this might help? I'm using frugal slacko570 npae puppy which has a slackware-14.0 version of lame-3.99.5 pre-installed (check using the Puppy Package Manager). Lame is a very poweful mp3 utility. open a terminal and type 'lame --help' (without quotes) to see all the options for creating ...

@Musher0 & anyone else interested in the history of the hotbackup file for frugal puppies. I went back in time to an old computer gathering dust in the basement and found a file called hotbkup.tar.gz uploaded by a user named 2byte on Sat 12 Dec 2009 at 17:08. Attached is a zip file with his orig...

pupsave backup

This pupsave-backup script makes a backup of the last-saved pupsave file while a frugal puppy is running. Just make sure the script is executable. I have been using this for years from pup431 upto and including pup570) it works well but I can't find any reference to the unsung hero who originally wr...

Can Libreoffice print to a pdf file and if so how does this compare to your required landscape setup?

PS I have openoffice 4.0 on a slacko570 system and this had problems with portrait/landscape formats when printing via USB to a Brother HL2170 laser printer. OK to an old Canon S520 printer.

As an alternative, try installing this apulse package http://smokey01.com/OscarTalks/apulse-0.1.8-i686-wz.pet Then just run Firefox as normal. Just a library so no need to start and stop daemons. Compiled in Wheezy but tested briefly and worked in Slacko 5.7 Works for me & frugal slacko5.7 npae...

Savefile memory can quickly be lost If a large download is accidentally saved to a location inside the savefile. Best thing is to save to a specified outside download directory. In Slacko5.7 frugal you can easily check if there are any very large 'rogue' files in the savefile. Use Menu/Filesystem/ G...

I'm using Slacko56npae frugal on a laptop, and on a USB for use on other computers. The built in Firefox is version 17.0.8 and I have reduced the cache requirement to 15Mb (Edit/preferences/Advanced/Override Automatic cache requirement).

Firefox seems to work fine with this reduction.
