I don't like NT4's sound latency, though. It's the only reason why I would choose 2000 over NT4. This is with just a standard Sound Blaster 16 card, no on-board AC'97.

I've also got my 3C589D pcmcia card working with changing the BIOS setting from PCMC-compatible to Cardbus / 16-bit, using the 3c589_cs module.
