Add NOD32 to Puppy
I'm trying to make a live cd with puppy running an antivirus, among other tools. I'm running Puppy linux 5.2.8, in a frugal install. I'm trying to install NOD32 for linux. http://www.eset.com/us/download/home/detail/family/71/ Which says it is compatible with Debian. However, it says that /usr/bin/a...

Well, I want to remaster because I want to make several copies. (all users already own Ut2004 in this scenario) Installing UT isn't the problem, its getting all the addons installed and configured for 4 or 5 users that becomes a pain. Also, it would be a technically interesting challenge. I'm lookin...

Tryting to get Quicktime to work
I know quicktime works in other distros pretty seamlessly. Does anyone know how to get it to work in Puppy? I'm using Puppy 4.3.1 and Seamonkey. Also, if it matters I'm running in Xvesa in Virtualbox. I know Distros like Linux Mint can do this from the LiveCD without any installing anything addition...

Puppy Utility Respin
I'm looking into adding a number of programs to puppy so as to use it as a diagnostic tool. It seems there are a great number of even simple diagnostic utilities that could be added to puppy. For example, whatever database lshw or Hardware Info use to identify hardware does npt seem to be included, ...

Cool Vaughn, looks like you just need to complete the last step. (good call cthisbear) COPY the Files to you External Hard Drive. My guess is that copying your /User/ Directory will get everything, try that first. Double Click on /sda3/ it will open a window. Then Find the directory /Users/ . Then d...

OK, we need to accept that since your HDD is failing some or all of your data may already be lost. I suspect you have a 30GB HDD (although that sounds EXTREMELY low for a new computer, so you may be seeing used space rather than total space), try launching the console (Menu>Utility>Rxtv terminal emu...

Is there a GUI controller for V4L radio card?
I've been searching for about a week trying to find a program that will give me a GUI for manipulating a V4L FM Radio card. I'm Dual booting Xubuntu on this system and http://goodies.xfce.org/projects/panel-plugins/xfce4-radio-plugin works great. Best case scenario is I would like to build this plug...

Deleted "Show Desktop" Button
Title says it all. I was exploring the theme options and I'm not sure what I did, but the show desktop button has disappeared. I suspect I need to modify "/root/.jwmrc-tray" , but I don't know what needs changed.

A Big Thank you hondasid! The Offending line appears to have been under "Server Layout" Screen 1 "Screen1" RightOf "Screen0" This is commented out in your Xorg.conf, but not mine. That solved the problem. What that should be remains a mystery. Ultimately I was also able...
