In the Puppy Package Manager there is normally a acpitool package. Install it and by issuing f.e. acpitool -s the machine goes into suspend mode. I checked out the Puppy Mackage Manager and I couldn't find an acpitool package--I checked both names and descriptions. Or maybe I just don't understand ...

Assuming you're running Puppy v4.3.1, you've probably introduced some syntax error to the file /root/.jwmrc-tray Check your file for XML syntax errors, open tags, etc. If worse comes to worse, boot from the CD with the boot parameter pfix=ram and copy a clean, original tray file from CD to your HD....
