Gxmessage manual page says this - are you trying to do something else? -fn | -font FONT Specifies the message font, using GTK2's font specification system. For example, -font "serif italic 14". (GTK2's font system is not compatible with xmessage. See the Compatibility section, below, for a...

Well, meson and ninja are a build system, and you must be familiar with vala, as Barry was keen on it back in the day. All quite common for gtk3 apps I think. The elementary specific lib is granite. I expect it wouldn't be hard to install in a puppy based on a major distro, e.g. it is available in p...

NASC calculator

Not exactly a request - I'm not asking for someone to package it - but if you use your computer to compute, you might like to check out NASC . Basically it is a calculator similar to say speedcrunch, but it has been made a little like a spreadsheet - you can easily refer to previous lines in a calcu...

Sorry, I don't see any connection between Hilary and Jacinda when it comes to politics. The connection is that Hillary lost because the election riggers wanted Hillary out so that Trump would be in the driving seat - and likewise they want Jacinda in power. That's a pretty bizarre conclusion given ...

Sorry, I don't see any connection between Hilary and Jacinda when it comes to politics. I wasn't comparing people, although they are both career politicians with seemingly very similar politics. I was comparing your confident expectation that Jacinda will be reelected with the confident expectation...

BTW: What caused this reaction was not an actual censorship action. The president made a statement on his twitter account that caused twitter to provide a reference to a contrary information. Thus really it was additional speech and not the blocking of speech that was objected to. Except there's al...

The president's order, which also cuts federal funding for social media platforms that censor users' political views
Anyone know what this federal funding is that he's cutting?
Is it advertising campaigns from government departments?

If you run xev in a terminal it tells you what inputs your mouse and keyboard are producing. If the horizontal wheel doesn't produce any events I think you will need to write or find another driver for your mouse. Presumably it won't because otherwise why would they say it doesn't work? Or maybe you...

I'm not going to defend "Labour Lite", but I'd much rather a PM who looks like a bully than one who looks nice and preaches niceness, but whose policies are the opposite. We're not spending billions of dollars in response to covid - it is in response to the government destroying the econom...

Here's the latest nonsense from the North Korea of the south pacific (not yet, but we're working on it). For background, NZ's current prime minister came to power in what the media called a "youthquake", with... (wait for it)... almost 37% of the vote. Unlike the wider NZ population, it se...
