Here is the work I did on customising the rox open with options.
roxrightclicks
If the symlinks in the rox.sourceforge.net/OpenWith/ directories point to rox appdirs then the option is shown in the menu with the icon of the appdir

Next time I have a spare £200 ish I was considering buying an XO to use mounted on the handlebars of my bike. The idea would be to put it into ebook configuration, connect it to a gps and mobile phone and run tangogps on it to view openstreetmap maps as I cycle around. If I find features on the map ...

sony ericsson k660i WORKING
Sometimes things can be too easy. I have owned a sony ericsson k660i for a while and tried playing around with wvdial and pppd to use it to connect to the net through a usb cable, with no success. The other day I came across a post on the web suggesting that it provided a standard ethernet interface...

after some cursory testing 0.1.8 works well for me I see you are echoing the smbclient and mount commands to the console, excellent, looks like just the right level of information. if share is already mounted then double right click opens it in rox even if it is password protected, nice. once reachi...

Patriot, perhaps, with Zigberts help, you could use some the already tested back end code from pnethood in this project to speed the development time on this one. The code in lameSMBxplorer is much easier to read than pnethood which intermingles state and action with gtkdialog gui generation. I wou...

works well for me minor bug if I mount //Kangaroo/Pictures then the icon for //Cassowary/Pictures is changed to mnted as well. I like the vertical layout. I presume it is not possible to change the resizing action so that the list that needs it gets more space rather than them both resizing the same...

Hi Clarf, I'm glad you got it working and thanks for the feedback. I think that Patriots's new lameSMBxplorer will soon replace pnethood. I suspect that he will need to do one or two more releases to reach a stable version but I will not release a new version of pnethood whilst this is taking place.

More tweaking of lameSMBxplorer in 0.1.1 alpha I have backgrounded all the calls to smbclient and run them in parallel (up to 6 at a time). The main window is up in less than 2 seconds and by the time I've managed to click on a server its shares list is ready 99% of the time. The scan progress windo...

2. Above happens because smbclient gets upset about the modified IFS. This is particularly nasty if you try mounting a share as a user with no password. Smbclient hangs waiting for a password on stdin, for me this locked up X completely. Here is a patch for 1. and 2. I have also enabled three extra ...
