slackbones download

really having problems getting the ISO on my drive. Whenever I download by clicking on the link the checksum says its bad and the file size is always different. Downloading from the download link w/
pwget gives a file called hive37 size 309Mb... what should I do w/ this?

Thanks all of you for taking the time to post your suggestions. Just to clarify... what originally happened was that somehow in the /mnt folder I ended up with the original sda5 mountpoint plus another longer name that referred to the same partition. I forget the exact name and was never sure how it...

Good idea... then I tried it and it started to copy all the files from the copied mounted partition across to the partition referred to in the renamed mountpoint link. I stopped it immediately as I didn-t want the disk space overwritten while there still might be a chance of recovering the deleted d...

Yup the mountpoint to my sda5 partition got deleted (from /mnt) and now the partition reads as being freespace in all my OSs (Ubuntu 9.10 - Puppy 4.3.1 live cd - winegates XP / gPup frugal). Any suggestons on how I might recover the data?

Hi... what for me would simply elevate puppy linux to the status of -God of gods- in the OS Universe would be a distro that could run the JACK audio server, the Gimp and Picasa , Firefox and vlc and still run from a USB stick. Is there such a thing out there? Oh yes, ideally the desktop would be xfc...
