Puppy 511 full install in Thinkpad T42: boot problem
I have been successfully running my Thinkpad T42 laptop on a full installation of Puppy 5.1.1. It crashed today after a bad experience on a Google+ profile that has 1,200 photos and slowed my session to an unresponsive crawl. I lost power and the machine shut down. On restart, the following prompt a...

Compatable w/ 5.01 ?
Would this pet be backward compatible to 5.01 with Firefox 3.6.3? Linux kernel 2.6.33.2 (i686)
If not, I wanted to ask first before crashing stuff.
thanx, ~ Dave

Adobe Air installer pet 4 Lucid 5.01 & 5.1

Problem solved! When Firefox auto upgraded to 3.6.6 and warned me to upgrade flash, I did. I just finished a video viewing orgy using chrome and 501 ran flawlessly on my Thinkcentre S51, P4 3ghz, 512megs ram with an infected XP partition using 501 on a 4gig USB. It almost seems like Puppy learns and...

Hi bill41, Yesterday I loaded a 501 live CD on a Sony Vaio PCG-975L with a bad hdd, 256 ram and a win2000 system. Ran good enough that I ordered a $7.00 netgear WIFI card for it to see if SNS will get it online. As a matter of fact, so far I have loaded 501 successfully on five different computers a...

Saving RAM to 'pup_save' file ==> Problem solved
Can I control this? Is it a setting somewhere? It is very disruptive and crashed Firefox at least once today. Where is this saved? I am running 501 from a USB in a ThinkCentre S51, P4, 512 megs ram. My tray tells me I have 764 free +/-. What is this measuring? Did I pick up extra ram somewhere? As a...

but I can not input anything. A curser line just keeps blinking at me and I can not type in anything. I tried on two different computers, same problem. I went through the install routine and created a 4Gb USB Flash drive for Lucid Puppy 5.01 and thought I had a good thing going when, for the first t...

Which Adobe?
Firefox auto-updated at boot this morning to 3.6 and presented a caution to update flash right away. Then asked me to choose a version.
The choices are: YUM, .tar.gz, .rpm, .deb or APT
