about safe installation of puppy in hard drive

hello... im trying to install puppy on my hard drive in another partition (ext3) while i have a running windows xp installed in another partition (ntfs). on the setup wizard. if i choose the option 2, can i still run my windows xp? and on the grub part... the wizard tells me that i must install grub...

i have a 256mb of ram and 40gb of hard disk but i want my puppy on my flash drive to be self-supporting. it doesnt need the computers harddisk or only need minimal ram. so i can run my puppy on any computer but still i have a large free memory on startup. i will install other applications on the usb...

wow... everything was made so easy... thanks for the work! just have a question... when im trying to maximize a window it will only extend at the bottom of the epplets and not cover the whole screen... how can i fix this? also i cant find how to change the color of the title bars...

oh ok... ive installed puppy on fat16 but not in supperfloppy... and everys startup my free memory is still only 55MB... what is the difference when you install puppy on superfloppy mode? and why is that i only get 55MB at startup...

i cant install puppy on ext3 filesystem also... some people said it is not possible... i have also 2GB usb flash drive where i run puppy. do you partitioned your drive with a fat and linux swap partition? if not, at puppy start up what is your free memory?

currently the installer wants a single fat partition
hmm when im installing on a multi-partitioned usb... the wizard ask me in what partition i want to install puppy. so i think thats not the problem... anyway thanks

Currently only fat is supported for a usb install when im installing puppy2 and making it a superfloppy, the ext3 option to format my drive is there. so it means puppy supports ext3 install the filesystem in a squashfile form, and your savefile (pup3save.sfs) all on the usb stick, and the save file...
