I'm happy to say that wary scaned and found my samba shares fast with no problems.

I'm testing precise 5.4.93 and this is not connecting to my samba shares.

I have lupu 528.005 running on two machines and both connect using pnethood without a problem. Also have a windows 7 machine on the network that connects fine.

It appears that installing the nvidia driver breaks mplayer. I confirmed this by starting over with a fresh frugal install and mplayer works fine using the nouveau driver.

I'll search the web and see if there's a solution to this nvidia issue.

Mplayer in Precise Pangolin should have vdpau support. Try to change video output to the vdpau in the gnome-mplayer preferences. yes|libvdpau|libvdpau1,libvdpau-dev|exe,dev,doc,nls| #needed by mplayer.
