. But think about it - the earth has been much warmer in past times than it is now. The CO2 level has been MUCH higher than it is now - so how did all of those species evolve and survive? On what started out as a dry ball of rock and dust hurtling through space devoid of even water in the first pla...

Not to bring the tone down but I recently had to arrange my mother's funeral. Total cost will be around £4000. I believe you can get very cheap ones for about half the price. It's not just about the cost of a coffin, there are lots of associated costs involved. If no one wants to pay for your funera...

Looking at the specs - it's a compression refrigerator with a directional fan. Despite claiming max power consumption of 300 Watts, in the small print it mentions 1100 Watts of cooling power output which unless the refrigerator works by magic means it must consume more than that. I think. Refrigerat...

I've been using various puppies for the last decade, only discovered last month that you can bookmark directories in ROX. Up until now I've been navigating through layers of dual boot folders.

The Devx and libreoffice sfs both need to be in the frugal folder I think otherwise they won't get picked up. Mine are in with my puppy files.

Yep, mp4's are highly compressed compared to mpeg2 dvd files. Depending on bit rate (you can have low quality up to really high quality (superbit) dvds), I think the maximum you can fit on a dvd that will play in a normal dvd player without any issues is around 2.5 hours, so if you divide 4GB by tha...

Glad it worked.
Did you click a vob file to play it in a media player? Each vob can only be a maximum of 1gb so the movie will be split over a couple at least. What happens if you right click the video_ts folder and open with a media player (or open the folder with VLC etc)?

Good news!
Fingers crossed it completes properly.
I confess using the same directories is just a habit of mine (I have files and folders all over the place) so I'm glad it made the difference but I can recall having trouble with Pburn in the past so perhaps its a quirk of the software.

That's strange, it worked first time for me. Obvious first question (which I'm sure you have checked) - Do you have enough room to render/save the dvd? I'm using a frugal install so both the save directory for the final processed dvd files and pburns working directory (in preferences) are set to use...

I dual boot with knoppix so I can cheat and use everything there. However, I've just had a play with Xenial and Pburn and here is how you do it - 1) Open pburn and choose the files you want to convert and burn pburn will not create a menu so you will get one long continuous movie if you choose more ...

Not all the links work and the search can be a bit wonky (but you can Google search it). You can download most things without signing up.

Hi, First question - is the hard drive in the computer the same one that you previouusly installed precise to?
