Here's a little script using mount-FULL as a workaround. Using this means you don't need to replace your mount program with mount-FULL and so you don't lose your little mount indicators. I put it on my desktop with the required arguments in the little argument box and away I went, you can use it for...

Thanks for all the replies, some pretty interesting stuff there. puppyluvr you've jogged my mind into thinking of a really simple solution which is just to copy the file to a different filename - say 'wallpaper' in the same directory and have that in the puppypin file. Then there are no more filenam...

Random wallpaper script
I'm developing a script that chooses a random wallpaper on bootup for puppy linux. I change the wallpaper by inserting the path and filename of the picture into the puppypin file. This works very nicely most of the time but I have noticed that if there is an '&' character in the filename then di...

Yes, for me it only starts gimp, without opening the actual file. To work out why would need looking at the source code, modifying, then recompiling. But, with latest release, v2.0, too many dependencies for me to be bothered: configure: error: Package requirements (gtk+-2.0 >= 2.8.0 libxml-2.0 >= ...

That sfs file you mention appears to be the same as the one I am already using...!! Does that sound possible to you? Going the source route, how do I get the development files that I need? do I have to configure and make first or are they just sitting there already waiting to be moved? How do I know...

I have installed ufraw from the files here and it runs. The first thing it does is ask for a raw file to load. When I give it an ARW file from a Sony camera (listed as supported) ufraw immediately crashes with the message ufraw: symbol lookup error: ufraw: undefined symbol: _ZN5Exiv2lsERSoRKNS_9Exif...

Well, this is really strange... Your taskbar doesn't pop up until you reach the very bottom of the screen? Why would mine be different without using a save file? I don't get it... The default layer priority for the task tray 8. Lupu 5.20 has it set on 11 My ~/.jwmrc-tray file doesn't seem to have a ...

taskbar mousover position
I like to have my taskbar hidden as I have a small screen. The problem is that the taskbar pops up when my mouse is a significant number of pixels above the top edge of the taskbar. This means that I cannot click on anything 'under' the taskbar. Ideally I would like the taskbar to pop up only when t...
