downloaded the truecrypt 6 pet installed it on a puppy 3.01 system and got the message that because of the kernel things could get wrong with writting data to an encrypted disk.

upgraded the puppy 3 with the new 4 and got the same message.
so please what to do want no corrupt data on this disk.

some problems

first,after a harddisk install and boot up from hd i get after loading the kernel
expr syntax error.
but it boot up and i get into puppy.
next problem is the network

mostly my dell cpx with pcmcia network card the card is found
now only wifi cards show up to chose.

typet puppy in front of the vga=normal pfic=nosplash
and ther puppy run completely fine
even the wlan pci card with ralink rt61 chipset did work after entering the right settings

tried it again

first with noting enterd
and the message is
you passed an undefined mode number
press return to seee available modes ore press space to boot
using
vga=normal pfix=nosplash

i get
could not vind kernel image vga=normal

Can Grub on HD boot puppy on usb stick?

maybe i am trying somthing that can not work. have an old pc that does not boot from usb stick. so my idea was, wy not boot it with grub? its a fat16 active partition on this stick.(maybe teh active part is not a good one?) made it bootable with the installer of puppy and works on a easynote laptop....

have made the background like you said and this worked.

can only say it works fine, and harddisk install did to.
tried teenpup 2. that did not get xorg working and i think this is a 2.14 problem.

so a good job this Tmxxine.
(have to try some thing out but it looks good)

well, i mostly have no problem with xorg and this pc. but after testing the config i get a 'dc stack underflow' i ty witin puppy with xvesa to change the config file. where the horizont freq is 31.5- and strangely nothing what has to be 48.5 vert is 40-70 so i make the change, save it go to terminal...

i don't know what is going wrong, but tried to download it three times, giving me a 10, a 25, 48 MB file, but the download meter gives a 332.1 iso file when running
happens within windows and puppy.
