Something odd with wireless on my Atheros network card.
The net runs very slow, I did a speed test getting 3.5 down and 1.4 up.
I boot up another puppy and I am getting 10m down and 1.6 up.
It also doesn't automatically set up my network profile on reboot for some reason.

I decided to try again using slacko 5.7.0 pae and it worked this time, posting from it now. I have been curious about this version he made it seems pretty innovative...

I wanted to use lxpup14 but its kernel is to old to work for my network card. So I used unicornpup which does work with my network card and followed the directions in the first post. Everything was looking good on boot until it tried to start x which it couldn't do, I ran xorgwizard and it finds th...

Thank you both for your answers. I have done some more testing. The geexbox's boot32ia.efi allows the actual grub menu to appear where as the one from ubuntu drops me to a grub prompt. I was pretty excited seeing the grub menu appear but even though I can move through the selections, anything I choo...

I have a ATIV 500T Samsung tablet with keyboard that I just purchased. This has an older atom Z2760 processor running windows 8 32bit. I have secure boot turned off and tried to boot a usb using these files but it just bypasses the usb and boots to windows. I am guessing the reason for it doing this...

I am having some trouble with Porteus and one of the older computers I have. Its a Pentium 4 2.4 with 512meg ram with the Intel 82845G video card. Once I get to a desktop the computer will lock up within a few minutes, even if I do nothing on it. I'm thinking its the video card since these cards hav...

I have been playing with live CD Wheezy.
I installed wine and noticed it did not populate the menu area, so I started a terminal program and typed winecfg and I get this.
wine: ' /root ' is not owned by you. refusing to create a configuration directory there.
Any ideas on how to fix this?
