I don't know how to try out that code, but if I were to attempt it, I'd do it while running Puppy entirely in RAM (boot from a live CD with puppy pfix=ram boot option, or, better yet, from a multisession CD or DVD.) I wanthed to confirm that Puppy Linux works on my HP T5520 Thin Client - as multimedia center - DOWNLOADER(JDownloader)/FTP/SAMBA/NFS/VNC - its installed on 1GB pendrive and serves files on external USB HDD 500GB.
