OK to be fair. If I try it again after booting in in Puppy ver 1.0.3, 1.0.4 works automatically, and if not I can prompt DHCP in the Wizard. So I'm being a bit picky I know. It's an old Laneed card I got for 10 bucks in a bargain bin. :) Hey I wouldn't even have this opportunity to get the WIFI work...

1.0.4 Wireless Autodetect Failure (1.0.3 OK though)

HI all: First off I am right now using Puppy Linux at a WIFI cafe on my IBM Thinkpad 166 MHZ 48 MB laptop. Yah! Problem, I have noticed it autodetects WIFI with 1.0.3 but not 1.0.4 (I have a dual boot system installed) Same thing happened on my home WIFI, but it eventually worked at home with 1.0.4....

Window manager thoughts on: Fvwm95, JWM & optional IceWM After using the XP theme in IceWM I have changed my mind a bit. It still looks cool, but I have to say that Barry has gone to a lot of effort to make FVWM95 really work. The only real problem is that the Mozilla and Dillo browsers oversize...

Yes, it's amazing! I tried for AGES to get my IBM Thinkpad 315ED (166 Mhz/48MBRAM) to go wireless with an old Laneed wifi card and Win 2000 with no luck. Then I popped in Damn Small Linux 1.2 which connected automatically. Then I thought just maybe it would work with Puppy, and it did simply using t...

XP Theme for Puppy Rocks

Installed the XP theme just for fun, this is amazing you have to try it! It's so funny, this tiny distribution looking like an OS that won't even install on my old laptop, nice one. XP Theme Screenshot http://kde-look.org/content/files/23014-puppy-xp.jpg Go here and get the XP theme from DotPup http...

No Audio IBM Thinkpad 315ED

Problem: No audio. Can't see the audio control panel, except for the speaker icon on the lower right toolbar. Clicking it does nothing. No audio at all. Laptop: IBM Thinkpad 315ED 166 Mhz, 48 MB RAM Configuration: Puppy Linux Installed on 2 GIG Hard Drive Question: Is there some kind of sound config...
