How to use Behringer U-CONTROL UCA202 USB audio device?
How would I go about getting a Behringer U-CONTROL UCA202 to work with Puppy 2.0 and 2.15?
I've read that it's supported by ALSA
Here is someone else's dmesg output
http://blog.zog.net.au/index.cgi/bleeps ... rface.html
can anyone point me in the right direction?

Okay, I've tried a few other Linux distros just to be sure and the best I've tried is Barely Puppy 2.13. Nothing else seems to work! I can actually get in and use it with a lot of latency at 640x480x16. All the specs I can find are CPU 166MHz System ROM: F187 - FFFF System RAM: 640 Kb Extended RAM: ...

Hey Gn2, thanks for your reply. Tried your suggestions. mostly patches for other distros that show in the results from google, tbh i don't know what i'm looking for. turned off PNP booted with no DMA (as far as I can tell, nothing showed up in the channel settings) where do i find /var/log folders o...

What does pnp_dock_thread mean?
I found an absolutely ancient Aries GREEN753, not sure of specs yet, but using iso CDs I'm experimenting with running 2.01 through 2.15CE. The later versions stop all together after Xorg/Xvesa menu - the older ones give me this message: PnPBIOS: pnp_dock_thread: unexpected status 0xff whilst booting...

Freecycle (the program)
http://freecycle.redsteamrecords.com/ looks like a really cool program, I understand how to compile, but are the dependencies available for puppy? I put a :?: next to the ones i can't find/am unsure about, the rest I think are fine unless anyone can tell otherwise or of problems that might arise. *...

Hi raffy - cheers for replying - I tried your solution, it just loops this instead of pausing:
and some other Input/output error messages that are going by too quick too write down.
Code: Select all
touch: cannot touch '/tmp/bootcnt.txt : Input/output error

2.01 halts during reboot after power fail
I'm using puppy 2.01 on a computer for an installation, I've put scripts in to auto start a program after booting into the GUI. The problem is that there's a high likelihood of the computer getting turned off. When the power is cut it will start up but pauses at: Interface eth0 has not been configur...

Hey fluxit, oddly each of those commands returned no output - I decided to try Mouse/keyboard wizard again, and hey presto the adapter started working as soon as I deselected/selected USB. Not sure whether I was just typing things wrong in the first place and could have saved everyone time looking i...
