I always just put it in the same place as my save file (which is /mnt/home/ for me, and is at the root of one of my drives) and it works for me. In any case, you should be able to use the BootManager to see if it is in the right place, rather than rebooting (i.e. if the BootManager does not see it, ...

Sorry, I do not know much about GMP, but installation would be as your tried previously (i.e. just follow it's directions). ./configure make make install The above assumes that you already have any needed dependencies installed. You might want to include some configuration flags like: "./config...

AFAIK, they are both the same place, so from within Puppy just use "/mnt/home".

Download lupu_devx_511.sfs from here: http://distro.ibiblio.org/pub/linux/dis ... ppy-5.1.1/

Save the file to the same place where your save file is.
Use the BootManager to tell it to load the file with Puppy.
Reboot.

I cannot really give specific info as I do not know what version of Puppy you are using, nor what type of installation, etc.
Take a look here: http://puppylinux.org/wikka/Devx and here: http://puppylinux.com/development/compileapps.htm

You can edit the group options in "/root/.jwmrc". See the following for more info: http://joewing.net/programs/jwm/config.shtml#groups e.g. <Group> <Class>Rxvt</Class> <Option>minimized</Option> </Group> The above would start urxvt minimzed. As with openbox, the drawback is that it will al...

If you're using OpenBox and want to launch apps with it, this is your file: /root/.config/openbox/rc.xml As lines on this xml could change according to your version, search for the line "keybindings for lanching applicantions" or something very similar... More info can be found here: http...

Drag it enough so that you can access one of the corners, and then resize the window so that it is smaller than the desktop. Then when you close Firefox it should remember it's size. If it doesn't, then maybe the settings are corrupted. You can try starting Firefox in Safe Mode, and then I think the...

It looks like the window is slightly off the top of the screen (just enough so that you cannot see the title bar).

Try holding the ALT key and click anywhere on Firefox and see if it will let you drag it down.

I would love to see an update for installing packages, where it tracks whether certain files are already installed. e.g. If the same file already exists, it does not replace it (as this eats space in a save file, if it is a file that is included with Puppy). When uninstalling, it does not remove fil...

Not getting notification emails (Solved)

Does anyone have any ideas on why I do not receive email notifications from replies to threads/topcis that I have posted in? "Always notify me of replies" in my profile options is set to: yes. I do get email notifications of private messages, so it is not an email issue. The threads that I...

You could create a shell script that starts the program with the necessary parameters, and place that script in the Startup folder.
