Re: How to automount drives, start Puppy in 24-bit video?
Im trying to make my puppy work like windows . . . So, is it possible for me to auto-mount drives? Windows basically mounts everything mountable and Linux can do the same. As for how? There are a variety of ways. It is easiest if you have the same devices on each boot. If you want specifics you cou...

How to automount drives, start Puppy in 24-bit video?
Puppy is my favourite distro. Saved me a big time when my dad locks up my windows, so puppy is used to help me play warcraft III xD Ive tried before ubuntu 10.04 lucid and pclinuxos bonsai (openbox) Whenever i connects any media, a drive is automatically mounted. Puppy doesn't work this way. Im tryi...

Using Lucid Puppy 5.2.8-004 Tried the basic setup you have. No problem with Wine of XFCE. Suggest remove reinstall of Wine and XFCE. May have better results getting Wine from here. http://www.murga-linux.com/puppy/viewtopic.php?t=53675 Save file size could be an issue. Too small. Agreed. Save file ...

How to use Chinese in browser, English in OS? [Solved]
My cousin is going to buy a computer without harddisk (its weird. I know right?) So... they are going to use an external harddisk to run the computer. No internal hdd at all. My cousin just do simple web browsing on Chinese sites, and he doesn't have harddisk, which means no windows. Puppy would be ...

How to make Wary look like a Mac?
Well. I wanted to revive my cousin's 14 year old computer (pentinum III, 256mb ram) with wary.

Re: "My whole personal computer" on just an external hard drive?
The idea is simple. I like to have a computer that I can take anywhere with me, run it at any place that has power and internet. Everything on the computer is the way I left it every time, it has all the programs that I use, all the music I listen to, all the private stuff that I'd prefer noone els...

nooby, what you talk about, I did with a pupsave file. When you plug the USB flash drive into another PC, Puppy knows the graphics card needs to be changed and brings up the xorgwizard to take care of that. If you have WIFI set up and change PCs, you may have to run connect again to get on the inte...
