Instant Update working fine here
Just installed the instant update pet and rebooted ... thus far, I have experienced no problems whatsoever. Even tried the ffmpeg convert GUI (new to me, since I've always used the command line), and it worked very well.

Well, radky, this is embarrassing, but thanks for setting me straight. My observation, though accurate, was completely wrongheaded. I thought Viewnior was simply an image viewer, and was unaware of its cropping capability. I've used Linux for about 5 years, but Puppy is relatively new to me. Still l...

Béèm: No problem. Names should be treated with care. I was struck by the adjacent e-acute and e-grave characters -- it seems an unusual combination. (I read French well, though I'm not fluent.) NE1: Thank you very much for that advice. I'm using Thunar as my file manager and rox-term as my terminal ...

PupSnap and Viewnior problem
The new version is working fine for me (running Lucid 5.2.5). Thanks for this tool -- I love it. The only issue I have is this: When viewing an image in Viewnior (the default picture viewer), I'd like to be able to capture/crop a portion of it using PupSnap. But when I invoke it with Ctrl-Shift-S, V...

Startup folder -- how to have items start minimized?
I've added my file manager and console (terminal) to my root/Startup folder. They work as expected, popping up after the boot process is complete. But is there some way to have them begin minimized (iconified)?
Not a big deal. But if anyone has a tip, I'd appreciate it.

Imagemagick -- one use
As a relative newbie, I don't know if Lucid already had a utility for doing partial screen captures. But it does now. Just one of the many good features of Imagemagick.

Imagemagick for Lucid 5.20/5.25?
Imagemagick has been a long-time favorite of mine. I'd love to see a PET for the newest versions of Lucid.

Thanks for making this available. I'm using the PET package from Barry, and it's working fine in both Lucid 5.20 and 5.25.
