It's beginning to seem I'm the only one really writing to this thread but... I've had success of sorts. I used Dougal's 'pupremaster.sh' script and got all the tweaks and installs mastered into a new live, multi-session cd. Everything is in it! When quitting puppy, shutdown - reboot - whatever, choo...

Dougal, In trying to find out how to save multi-session(s) to a pup_save file on a harddrive, I read up on your pupremaster script. Keep in mind, my objective was to get the tweaking and additional installs off of the multi-session cd (2.15CE) onto the harddrive into a pup_save file to speed up boot...

Yeh, thanks Flash... seems like I heard or read it somewhere too... now where did I lay my eyeglasses! I'm still looking and reading what I can find that looks close to the subject. Search the forum here and get so many (or very few) hits to go through... still figuring out the proper search ...

Saving multi-session cd to pup_save... howto?
Hello all! I'm playing with puppy 2.15ce and have several saved sessions on the cd I'd like to save to my pup_save file. I booted up with 'puppy pfix=ram' and was properly asked where I wanted to save and I selected to create the pup_save. Only, I can't figure out how to save all the tweaks and inst...

Mission Complete!
Well, I finally settled on an Asus M2NPV-VM AM2 mobo with an AMD Athlon X2 5400+ processor. Got 4 512 meg dual channel memory for 2 gigs onboard. Puppy 2.13 booted right up off cd and felt right at home!!! :D My old 2.10b (on an older IDE harddrive) coughed and sputtered over the different video but...

Hey Mark, I'm running 2.13 on a Pentium II (Klamath) with my old 9200SE ATI video card. Back in 2.10b, glxgears worked great but fg_glxgears was iffy. Have installed the 3DCC and all and installed the 8.28.8 drivers in that fglrx worked good with this card in 2.10b. fgl_glxgears worked for a moment ...

Ok, I installed the cups-install, got the interface - nuttin' happened. Had to mount devx for the make command, installed pnm2ppa. Openned Abiword, created a test.text file and saved to /root. While in Abiword, printed the test.text file accepting the default. Page printed correctly and quickly! My ...

Um, I'm working on getting my 820Cse running too. Works great in 2.10b but just getting 2.13 running. Since cups-install v0.3 has switched to gutenprint, maybe we (the 820Cse's) NEED the ghostscript... I found this page which confirms the 820C is not supported. I'm going to insure/install ghostscrip...

well, I must say that we'll hate to see you go! Honestly, windoze is like... leaving your house unguarded with the back door wide open, giving ALL your personal information to keyloggers, lending your computer to virus writers/developers to experiment with. I'm NOT trying to convince you to stay... ...
