Thanks for the reply....I am using a WEP key and I tried the prefix you mentioned....didn't work. As I mentioned previously, I am also using LXPup which is also a precise pup. The wireless connection works fine and I use no prefix.

Ok, re-installed 100 as a full install. Added acpi=off to the boot and the set up no longer hangs at keyboard layout.

What affect does acpi=off have? What was disabled?

We only discussed stuff about frugal & full install. Nothing we discussed had any affect on the reason for my post.

I still have the issue of my computer hanging on the keyboard layout screen after a full install. Frugal and Live CD, no issue.

It just may be that I don't understand it completely. It just seems easier to understand and install the full installation. When I tried the frugal, it seemed to take longer to boot and I was confused with the pup save files and what was being saved.
