hybrid iso can be dd to usb...some distros use it. The windows 32 installer here is excellent but made to dual boot and run from windows. Could easily be expanded to usb but Unfortunately the lack of official support means thats not likely. Would be nice to have something in house rather than resor...

How To Do A USB Install Of Puppy Linux Slacko ... Methinks this method will work for various Puppies. It worked for me first time. You don't need an optical disk in a drive with this method, only mount the ISO file and copy the files that are inside it. Thanks, but not the point, I will have no pro...

Install Puppy to USB without burning to CD first
I've been using Puppy for a few years now, (but not a regular poster), and one of the things I would like to see is Puppy distributed so that it can be installed directly to USB, rather than having to burn it to a CD first. Puppy is great for devices like netbooks and low end laptops. Unfortunately,...

Re: great except for no sound
Is this a known problem? I've booted Lucid 5.2 on a variety of laptops/notebooks including Eee PCs (mostly belonging to friends as a demo) and always had sound. I seem to recall some had the sound muted or turned right down in the mixer giving the appearance of no sound though. From what I've read ...

great except for no sound
I'm using Lucid Puppy 5.2.5 currently and have used several other flavors of puppy, ( 4.3.x, 5.1, puppeee, and fluppy). The fact is, I would not be typing in this forum were it not for puppy--my hd had a fatal failure and this eeepc would be in a junk heap somewhere were it not for puppy. I find it ...

No Sound EeePC 1005 HAB
Hi all, I'm running Lucid Puppy 5.2.5 on an 8 gig micro sd with no HD and everything works except for the sound and built in web cam. I have tried a few other flavors of puppy---4.3x, Lucid 5.1, puppeee, and fluppy--- and so far none of them have produced sound on my netbook. In all cases, I have ne...

thanks for the reply
I've already tried puppeee and fluppy, same problem. So, if I'm going to not have sound functionality, I prefer puppy 5.25

No Sound on eeepc 1005hab
Hello all. This is my first post and I'm saying this just to let ya'll know I am very new to puppy. Right now, I'm running Lucid Puppy 5.25 on a micro sd card with no hard drive, (it failed). Anyway, everything seems ok except for the sound and no webcam. I've looked around the site for a solution a...
