What a bunch of rude people!
Wow! For the seven years or so I have been using versions of GNU/Linux, this forum, or at least this topic and post attracted some of the most rude Linux/Puppy users I have ever experienced! It seems that a few "out there" completely misunderstood, or misinterpreted what he wanted to know....

Try it on my "Gimme PC"
OK, just putting this here for a date code more or less. I will be trying Puppy out on a PC with 1300Mhz CPU, 1,281 HD (of which only 400-500 available; it has Win 2000 Pro on the other 550-600MB). I will also use a 4GB flash drive for storing files? I don't think I can set it up to run from USB bec...

Convertint avi, mpeg to DVD with Prism
If anyone is wanting to use a simple video file converter to convert video files so they can burn the results to DVD, I found that Prism Video File Converter works fine and installs easily with Debian package (for Lucid Puppy). It seems to not actually install, but is a stand alone/portable? I guess...

no more precise info I am sure
I have the same issue. And before the last person who commented "need more info on dependency" suggestion, there IS none. I have both Puppy 4 and Lucid Puppy and my Wifi scanner proggy won't work at all. When I checked for missing dependencies, all that pops up is a tiny window saying &quo...

WiFi card in Lucid Puppy
Hi everyone. Did a search on this, and only found someone ASKING how to get the WiFi card working. I came across some info that said I could use/make/install the Linux wlan-wg driver, but it also said something about configuring the KERNEL? I am not brave enough to do that yet! :O On Barry's blog si...

using WiFi card
There is some info on Barry's web site about WiFi cards: http://bkhome.org/blog/?viewDetailed=00159 It talks about having both an internal laptop WiFi card and using a plug in card and how he resolved it. I am too new to using Linux and the info was above my head, so I am hoping someone can guide me...

Lucid Puppy Puppy Package updater
I am updating my Puppy Package in Lucid Puppy and when I chose the Lucid universe update, the download seemed to never stop! I had a yellow pop up window that just ran a "Matrix-like" screen of thousands of words I could hardly read, they went by so fast! Is that normal? The first time I d...
