"Personal Storage Getting Full"
Hello Forum. Pure nooby here. I'm in 5.2.5, and boy-o-boy am I completely lost. Apologies, as there are many posts on this subject but I couldn't make any sense out of any of them. There are a lot of posts in the forum pertaining to the message "Warning: Personal storage getting full, strongly ...

That pet is exactly what I'm looking for. Supposedly I can add a second keyboard layout through the puppy setup (xorg option) but I can't figure it out. Will this pet work on 5.2.5? I ran it but nothing happened. Can you give me some instructions? I'm a 2-week newby and have absolutely no clue as to...

Yup. I feel pretty stupid. Not sure why that space became unallocated, but I'm sure it was something I did. Sorry for the pointless inquiry. But I will use this venue for a follow-up question. Coming from a Windows background, I find the Rox file manager and the unix directory/file display conventio...

Rolf: Yes, I see that, but in pmount, the drive shows up as only 4 gigabyte (which was the size I reserved for the Puppy Installation. There's still (roughly) 455 gigabyte sitting on the drive that I can't get to. In fact, my original post mis-stated that. I can't get to the remaining storage outsid...

Switching Between Multiple Keyboards
Hello Forum:
I'm running Puppy 5.2.5. In the hardware setup, there's an option to add a second keyboard layout. (I use dvorak, my wife uses qwerty). I have added in the second layout, but can't for the life of me figure out how to switch between the two. Can someone guide me through?
Thanks.
brian

Saving to mounted drives from within Puppy
I may be missing something very obvious here, but here's my point of confusion: Right now I'm running Puppy on a 500GB external USB hard drive. I would like to save my user files to the unused portion of the USB hard drive. But from within Puppy (say I'm working on an Abiword file) when I invoke a s...

Hello Puppyluvr: I'm running 5.2.5, kernel 2.6.33.2 Let me try to clarify. I want to run off either a USB flash or (preferable) a USB hard drive. I'd like to plug either on into a PC of my choice - whatever is available - and be able to select the puppy save file I'd like to boot. These save files w...

Multiple Lupusaves on External Media
Abject apologies from the sub-nooby before hand, but searching has failed to help. If I install multiple Lupusave files on my hard drive, Puppy always prompts me with the selection to choose from when I boot up. But I when I install multiple Lupusave files on my external boot media, I do not get an ...

You may be a nooby but whatever word there is for a sub-sub-nooby, that's me, so anything involving code is way beyond me. Although you may be on to something as I've been playing with it tonight and can say that the USBHD I'm using has a much better hit rate than the USB flash. About 50% versus 25%...

Unpredictable Intermittent Boot Failures From USB Drive
Hello Puppy Linux Hardware Forum: Here's a very very weird problem that I would like to share. I have a USB flash drive loaded with Puppy 5.2.5/2.6.33.2 in positively known good condition. I know it's good because it works on other machines and will reliably boot them into Puppy as well as read/writ...
